how many is too many ?

hey there guys. so I am thinking on setting up one of those vinyl looking black closet grow tent thingies ... I am going to build it myself... anyway how many plants would be too many ? I was thinking on making my tent thingie say 8 ft high ( that is how high the ceilings are here ) maybe 4 foot wide by say mayb 9 or 10 ft long ... so how many plants could i grow with those dimensions ? should i plant say 100 and then try to wait until they show me their sex ?? then pull the males and grow the left over females ?? how would you go about it ? thanks for the info and advice !

4x10 is 40sq, thats enough for about 40 plants, and they'll REALLY be jammed in there. Or about 10 really large plants.

Best way to do it IMO is to grow out a mom, and then do clones, takes alot less time from clone to flower than it does seed to flower. The other alternative is to plant about 10 feminized seeds, pick the pheno you want (fast veg growth, good looking plant) and take that for your mom, or clone them all, and flower some out to see which flower the fastest (early girl pheno) and then use that for your mom. I usually use the early girl pheno, unless I'm going for exact THC/CBD ratios or something else.
