    leaf index

Read in an old marijuana growers bible type book that the number of leaflets and the relative number of serrations is an indicator of strain strength and plant health. Fun facts or fiction...

Mr Nice Seeds European Outdoor strain (work in progress, 8 gens)

I've seen 14 leaflets on a plant so far and ...im so stoned, i forgiet....
oh, the plants are twelve weeks from seed, outdoors.

So this is going to be better than those you grew in 70, just by the leaves, I must be stoned to. What's the 8 gens mean?

Correction... the plants are eight weeks from seed, not twelve. Told you I was toasted.

No, that is not necessarily true. I didn't try to express that idea at all, sorry if that's what you thought I meant.
I will tell you that the 1970 leaves were grown from mexican brick weed. Strains have changed since then. You may not even find that same strain being grown any longer. I wouldn't be surprised.

Eight GENerations. this strain was grown and bred for outdoor growing in the alpine area of Europe. Male and female plants were grown and selected males would polinate selected females. The females would have seeds. I don't know if they crossed male and female from each succesive generaton or if an earlier selected female or male was used to crossing later generations. I don't even have any information on the genetics. I heard Skunk was used, I dunno. I thought I would try it outdoors in Northern New England. I have enough seeds for a few runs (about 60 seeds). If I like the results this harvest maybe I'll try some selecting and pollen chucking next time.
Maybe Weezard or some other old head will remember the old 1960s Pot Growers Guide Book or whatever the title was and the paragraph about 'leaf index'
