Curious if this has happened to anyone? Took a pre employment drug test about three weeks ago and figured all was good by now. I was hired before I even took it. They gave it to me and I knew I'd be fine. It was a mouth swab test and it had been over a month since I'd smoked. So I decided since I'm about to go into my third full week at my second job and decided to smoke last night. Actually an old friend I'd hadn't got to see much in recent years stopped by and asked if I wanted to smoke. I said ok and partook. About 3 hours into my shift today I get called to the mgr's office. I figured it was something stupid. No, it was much more. I was informed that my sample got lost and never tested. Ha ha! Talk about Instant stomach cramps. I had no choice but to re take it. Needless to say it goes out courier Monday morning. So I've decided to do the honorable thing. I'm in my upper 30's and have never been fired from a job. I'm going to the main manager and going to suck it up and tell her I quit and why. What makes that difficult is I worked with her years ago at the same job. I'm going to explain to her why I am quitting and save myself the embarrassment of getting fired. Going to wait a bit and go for another part time job. I guess this one wasn't meant to be.
