1st grow, question about sexing preflowers..

My plants are 6 weeks old. I have a few plants that are growing really well and I want to try to sex them so I know I'm not wasting my time. I already have a few cuttings in the flower room but I was inspecting one plant in particular and noticed some bulbs at the first 3 nodes (places I had taken clones from, specifically). The pictures I have found don't look like this so I'm wondering if its male preflowers or something else.

Ps, sorry the resolution isn't fantastic. My camera sucks.

Also, the plant is LST'd so I couldn't get many angles without hurting the branches. All the other nodes just show the regular stuff. No gender specific parts yet.

I wouldn't worry about it too much...If you have some cuttings in the flower room, you will know soon enough what sex they are. I don't see anything that would indicate male or anything, so you'll just have to wait it out. There are a number of ways to "pre-sex" a plant.

    1) the seed itself. If the seed has a concave area where it broke off from the plant, it is reportedly highly likely it will be female. Not 100%, but likely. If it has a level or bulbous look at that particular area of the seed it will likely be a male.

    2) The early seedling. Emiliya did a study earlier on here that she claimed if there was a red streak in the early sprout stem, it was likely going to develop into a female. Straight up green stem and it was likely a male.

    3) where the branches meet a larger stem, there are likely to develop a small bulb and 2 hairs...likely a female. Ball sack and balls....well, that should be obvious...it's a male.

Other than this or if you've missed those windows to determine sex, the sure fire way to find out is stick em under 12/12 for 2 weeks and then you will know for sure.

Hope this helps, but you must remember, plants grow at their pace, not ours...we would all like to veg for a week and flower for a week and get 10lbs per plant of killer bud, but it just don't work like that. Patience is a virtue, be virtuous.

Yes thank you so much! I was getting really worried it was male. That one is my favorite. I've been babying the hell out of it so I am gonna be pretty upset if its male. Lol

Some pre flowers are so small you need magnification to see them.

Yah I did a lot of reading last night and today and with some really close study found preflowers on several plants. Still need a bit to be able to tell but hopefully soon so I can stop wasting time and resources on the males! Thanks y'all!

Ok, I still can't tell, I figure its too soon, but just so I know if I'm looking at the right thing, the tiny growth that is almost a 90 degree angle to the main stem. That's a pre-flower, correct? I know my picture quality isn't great. Sorry.

Edited to add: this plant is a different plant that has been flowering for 5-6 days.
