    indoor grow room minor problems?

Hey everybody, I just completed setting up my indoor grow room in a spare bedroom. I have two different areas, one for vegging and cloning and the other for flowering. the vegging area is about 5 by 6. I'm having problems keeping the humidity around 50 to 65, it drops down to the 30's and have even gone to 28. How could I raise the humidity by using at home materials? Would this cause problems to the plants?

    indoor grow room minor problems?

Hey I am a first time grower myself but In my opinion I would suggest buying a humidifier for that reason, and for all you know you may actually need a dehumidifier whenever you start to flower. But don't go buying the dehumidifier until you know for sure. You can't leave your front door open to bring in outside humidity because house cooling/heating reasons increasing your bills. Humidifier is probably your best bet. But, like I said I am brad new myself so I would take advice from those experienced unless you completely agree with this. I am on day 30 of my first ever grow and this is basically a test run with bag seed. If I succeed I will grow multiple plants instead of one. I also have a question if anyone would be willing to help me out.. (minor problems) maybe. I have my 400W MH light 7 inches from the top nodes of my plant. the leaves at the end of the stem are crinkly looking and was hoping somebody would post some pics of normal leaves at that distance so I know that it is not anything to worry about. I just got my lighting system yesterday on the 29th day and this is slightly different from what i have seen.

Make sure the humidifier you get has a way to set it to only increase air humidity to 50%-65% and maintain that. My closet actually keeps the humidity just right while the light is on. But when I turn my light off it gets close to 70% so I need to get a dehumidifier myself. As soon as I decide to flower anyway.

Good way to raise humidity is ...wait for it...

    plants.
If you have a grow area with just clones or seedlings you may want to introduce some houseplants. Water them as needed and return them to their regular window or shelf when the grow area fills up. Another option, an aquarium. But even easier, you will need a fan to move air around, take a wet towel as a wick and hang it from a rack (DIY) into a pail of water and put this arrangement off to the side of the fan. This will add humidity to a small area.

ADR, post your own thread and you'll get answers. Like, 7" from a 400 watt MH is close enough to fry a mature plant, let alone a small young one. Average would be 18", more or less. Unless you have an enclosed, cooled, hood.

    Good luck, guys.

    indoor grow room minor problems?

Shovelhandle. thank you for your response to his question because I will keep that in mind myself. And also I am new to forums and I could not find the new thread button. Thanks for the name of the post that you mentioned for my question because I would not have known how to label it. I have a constant breeze on my plant so that might be why the humidity level in my closet it just right.
