    Is Sweating & Excercise Before Test Bad?

    Hi There,
    I took a drug screen on July 22nd about a week ago. I had been clean about 3 weeks after being a fairly heavy smoker,daily. Anyway, I had done one homescreen a few days prior to test, and test result was a faint negative. I also do 90 minute hot yoga classes 3-4 times a week, which most likely accelerated the body getting rid of metabolites. Drank plenty of water obviously to stay hydrated as well. So maybe I got to cocky, and I went and tested natural a couple of hours after doing yoga. I tested positive for THC, getting a call from the MRO at lab, and therefore lost the job. I was then shocked after reading in some forums, people saying don't exercise within 48 hours of your test, since the canniboid metabolites are released into the bloodstream, and will increase your chance of testing positive, even if you self test yourself at home negative.
    So here I am now about 30 days clean, got another offer to start somewhere else. Fortunately, I know the guy hiring, and he assured me we can get through this process of testing. I plan on starting soon, and the test is inevitable. Maybe later this week, or possibly I can put it off, not sure. Anyway, I have the option of using Quickfix, used once before and worked, or taking some home tests, and living with the 99.9% accuracy of the self-screen. Trying to decide whether stopping the heavy sweat workouts will be the difference on whether I sub or go natural. Any input is appeciated!

    Wow i have a test in 3 days and i will be 3 weeks clean too. I did a lot of cardio for the past 2.5 weeks, stopping today since my test is soo close and i dont want any THC to be released. I took 5 home Tests, and came up negative for all. But now i am scared after reading this. How faint were your lines?     You know UT21, the test lines I had look like your day 16 & 17. Faint but visible, thats why I got a little too confident. However, the difference between you and me, is you have self tested about 5 times to my only 1. that's why I believe the pros, when they say any faint line is a negative regardless. Again, my only concern is the posts on the web about abstaining from excercising heavily at least 48 hours prior to the test. It's like I want to stop the sweating now, and since I am unsure, sub the test out with quickfix 5.7.

    So what is your best advice for me? From what i have gathered from the web, i think its best to abstain 3 days before your test from any heavy exercise. Do u think i will be okay?

    I'm thinking if you go natural, why take the chance? The only other absolute way to pass as I said, was the synthetic. Let's see if anyone else contributes some futher ideas about the excercising.

    agreed, but i have heard some places that quickfix can be detectable by GC/MS at Labcorp. I am just saying that if i am passing already with all natural then why not? Soo confused, i could go either route. Not sure which is the best tho. Your story has me double thinking about using my own pee. In terms of the drug test you preformed on yourself, what company was it from?

    So regarding quickfix, there are 2 versions of it. the 5.7 version has the uric acid and creatnine in it, labs look for that. I am in WA, heard they check for those ingredients here. There were a few folks who failed with the orignal version. I was tested at a Quest facility last week. The home testing kit I got was from Rite aid. Sorry didnt remember which brand. BTW, when I used Quick Fix last year, it was a a Labcorp place and passed.

    i have heard some places that quickfix can be detectable by GC/MS at Labcorp.
    This is False. The GC/MS is not used to detect "non-human" samples.
    The GC/MS is used only to confirm drug positives and two types of adulterants: Pyridine and Glutaraldehyde. Non-human samples are determined by checking the creatinine and specific gravity. Creatinine is checked using colorimetry (the typical validity dipstick/cup/cassette) while Refractometry is used for checking the specific gravity. Colorimetry can also be used for SG as the initial analysis.


    Any exercise should be curtailed at least 3 days before the U/A. That way you wont be releasing a bunch of THCA into the bloodstream, which will end up in the urine to be detected.

    Sweating is hardly of any help because very little THC is excreted via sweat. Sweating is the bodys reaction to high temperature and/or nervousness - not a reaction to calories being burned. You can sweat enough to fill many buckets, yet the amount of THC being excreted would still be miniscule. The rest are being excreted via the urine and bowels.

    TY Burnt Toast for the clarification. So, outside of being absolutely sure of passing with a sub, could the fact I had done strenuous excercise on the morning of my last test have a direct effect on my positive result? I think I effed up by doing that. I had only done one home test prior to that, and it was negative. My new plan is to do 4 or 5 days home test on first void. Also curtailing the excercise like you said. Assuming the hometests being clean, I plan on going to final test natural on my own.

    I think exercise is effective if it is done immediately before taking a test because after that it’s not good for health.
