First Time Grower - UPGRADE What do you think?

Thank you so much growdemon i reallly appreciate it. Yea right now i just have a lamp with 2 5000k cfls with 495 lumens each and a lamp shade lined with tinfoil that is put on the lamp to direct the light straight towards my plant.

Hey everyone, its Mighty D Young here again, I have upgraded my grow area from just a light and a plant to a plant, lights and a legit grow area. I have lined the walls with tin foil and made a roof that is also lined with tin foil. Today the plant is 1 Week and 3 days. I think it is very healthy, i water it every 3 days and i still have not used and Nutes yet. It is probably about 4 inches tall now. The 2 pics with solo cup are before and the rest are after / present. But i transplanted wayyy Rating: 5

Hi im no expert with regards to these lights but the reviews dont sound too good. The lights seem to fail with normal household use. imo it would be a little safer to spend a little bit more on better quality lights. Does ayone have experience with using these bulbs? Perhaps shine some light on the matter

you dont think so? and how much longer do u think it will be before it starts veg?

I suggest ya do a little reading cuz question proposed is a bit off. No disrespect but you are "vegging" unless you meant "flower" & that would be way down the line. Peace

Yes, the hardware store .99 lamps are iffy but still a value for growers on a budget compared to other types of lighting.

Fair point and i guess if one does blow its cheaper to replace than more expensive lighting

lol yea tru i dont know why i asked that.. but heres a legit question , on monday the 29th the plant will be 2 weeks old, and i have not added any Nutes yet. when should i really really really start looking into ferts?

I would leave it for a few waters then start adding some nutes at half strength. Roots2success.co.uk have a wide variety of ferts you can view and see which one you like best. Im gonna be using biobizz products for my grow. A friend of mine swears by them, and he has had some impressive crops. But there is a mass of different stuff out there so have a mooch see what u find
