First Time Grower - UPGRADE What do you think?

Hey everyone, its Mighty D Young here again, I have upgraded my grow area from just a light and a plant to a plant, lights and a legit grow area. I have lined the walls with tin foil and made a roof that is also lined with tin foil. Today the plant is 1 Week and 3 days. I think it is very healthy, i water it every 3 days and i still have not used and Nutes yet. It is probably about 4 inches tall now. The 2 pics with solo cup are before and the rest are after / present. But i transplanted wayyy to early, from the solo cup to a 1 gallon pot. is there anything bad that can happen from that? Any tips, suggestions, comments or ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone ! :rasta: :rastasmoke:

you dont think so? and how much longer do u think it will be before it starts veg?

you may want to get a better lighting setup. 2 cfl lights on a lamp is not going to cut it for long, they have weak lumens. You might want to get at least five of them and you will definitely need more in the flower stage.

yea thats what i thought.. i only have about 1000 lumens on it and its 5000k. but i have 2 other bulbs that are 1110 lumens each but 2700k.. should i just add those?

2000 lumen per square feet is the min a plant needs

What store can i go to that will have 6500k 1000+ lumen light bulbs? home depot?

You can find them at any hardware store even walmart. Id make sure to get 2700k ok? They say to use two different temp lights for veg and flower but 2700l will be just fine for both. What a lot of people do is they get those double or quad lamp outlets from one outlet and put 125 watt, 1800 lumen light on each outlet. You should have 2-3 at least for veg and 4-5 for flowering on each plant and it wouldn't hurt to have a little more. HAve it close to the plant and raise it up as it grows. The more light the better. Yeah you can fid this stuff at lowes, home depot, walmart, etc. Even online

well any really, there are so many lights on the market
i use lights from home depot,ralphs,kroger......

it depends on how many lights you need. for instance. 2 200w cfl bulbs could pump out 6000 lumen each but they get hot & they dont fan out over the canopy evenly, you would need 4 200w cfl bulbs to get a good spread of light, and at that point it would be more effecient to get a HPS light setup/

so many smaller lights spread about 6-10 inches apart ive found to get a nice even spread
i use 4 to 8 to 10 lights 23/26w each 1600-1750 lumen each, 1600lumen are homedepot 1750lumen are from kroger

or you can mix both for a multi spectrum when flowering.
kroger or ralphs have 1750 lumen 4pk 2600k (for flowering)

Thank you so much growdemon i reallly appreciate it. Yea right now i just have a lamp with 2 5000k cfls with 495 lumens each and a lamp shade lined with tinfoil that is put on the lamp to direct the light straight towards my plant.
