Just wanted to introduce myself...

I'm a regular smoker and strongly believe in the medical use of marijuana. Since the FDA has finally approved Marinol (dronabinol, a THC derivative) for use in patients with AIDS and cancer, I'm hopeful it will eventually be an accepted treatment for more than just loss of appetite.

I was unsure about the medical effects of marijuana until i saw them for myself- my boyfriend suffered a traumatic brain injury and was prescribed every painkiller under the sun. None of them took the pain away, they would just dull it for about an hour and he would be back to misery. Once he smoked, the pain was gone and he was able to function normally again. I'm hoping it gets legalized in my state soon.

So that's me, just wanted to say hi and hopefully meet other people with my stance! :thumbsup:

Hi and welcome. I am in the same boat about legalizing medical marijuana because I have cancer and I use to ease the side effects from the chemo. I feel a whole better since I started in April when I was going for chemo. I haven't smoked for some 20 years and now I'm back. LOL!
