Flowering & Growth stopped
Hi all,
I grew some plants from bag seed and got 1 healthy flowering girl. Looks VERY sativa, which is great. I asked about can I take cuttings from the only plant I have during the early flowering stage.
I took a couple of cuttings from the lower branches (as advised) which are still well under tinted closhes (although I'll have to wait to see if they take). I'm not sure which strain I have (or even if its an autoflower).
The main plant is in its 7th(ish) week of flowering under a 200W Red CFL 12/12 and looks healthy but seems to have stopped developing, flowers or growth since I took the cuttings.
It was suggested I look at trichome growth but under the usual 60x mag I can't confirm any trichomes (perhaps extremely small and extremely sparce (if at all).
Have I made a mistake in taking cuttings or is this unrelated? Perhaps I'm just worrying unduly and need more patience? I've been feeding with "Ace of Buds" and "BioBizz Flower".
Any thoughts, advice would be great. TY.
P.S. There is no odour at all from the plant

A) Any time you cut a plant, it will focus all of its energy on the repair of that cut, this is why we HIGHLY suggest you take your last cut 2 weeks BEFORE you start to flower. Your clones you took after you started to flower should be fine, but you did delay your flowering time by about 2 weeks.
B) You don't have enough light on that plant. In both pictures your plant is just shadowed, you have that super tall cola coming up, and you have light on that, but the rest of the plant is dark, your going to force it to hermie and grow balls, gotta straighten your lighting out, if your only going to flower with 1 200 watt bulb, then keep your plant a bit shorter, or disperse your lighting a bit more effectively.
C) Don't worry about odor, some strains are VERY stinky and sticky, others aren't so much even smelly. Don't worry about that, your not even sure what your growing
So to summarize, just let your plant focus on healing for the moment, you'll see more growth, but I would highly advise either more light, or a better disbursement of light.

Attachment 293172I think the Auto brightness kicked in - Here's a better photo. I was thinking about getting HPS lighting for flower. I only have 1 plant and I don't want any excess so paying out a lot of money for a new system, Electric, heat, 600W ballasts etc... seems a bit OTT. COMPLETE GROW KIT 120X120X200
If I did get a 600W ballast could I use 250W HPS bulb with it or would I have to buy a specialized or variable Ballast?

If your clones do not take there is another trick you can use. When you harvest leave some small bud with green leaves on the plant. Usually the lower stuff close to the stem. Take that plant to a veg light and give it 20/4 on/off. I will take a few weeks but the plant will revert back to veg mode. You can then start taking clones off your new mother plant.

TY for advice.
I just bought a High power timer, hanging kit, 400W dimmable electronic Ballast, Reflector, and 400W Dual spec HPS Lamp (to replace my 200W Red CFL). Expensive!!!!! Should arrive soon.
Its still producing pistils. Some pistils getting a little brown, small flowers & buds; looks healthy. Is it too late (or too much shock) to suddenly change to blast it with 400w HPS?it too late (or too much shock) to suddenly change to blast it with 400w HPS?
