I guess I'm the resident CFL expert so I'll chime in.

The 5000k lights your using won't really yield any results that aren't sub par, CFL's range from 1900k to 7500k, the most common spectrums being 2.7k 5k and 6.5k, 5k is a neutral light, for veg you want bright white, or the 6.5k's, and when your plants get bigger you want the warm 2.7k's. 5k is just like a halogen which is why we don't suggest using halogens to grow, the light doesn't benefit your plant.

Switch bulbs, and you'll see alot more progress

Its sitting in the back of my closet on top off two shoeboxes (to get closer to the lamp) and there are 2 5000k CFLs in the lamp. but the problem is that i think the lights are only 495 lumens each. I will upgrade soon but thats what im at now. It will officialy be 1 week old on 7/22/13 Monday. its probably about 3 inches tall. I have not added any nutes yet and have just been watering it everyother day with Rating: 5
