Can i switch to 24/0 for 5 days?

    Hi,

My plants look like they are struggling a bit.
they are taller and a little 'gangly'. the leaves are very green, the plant looks good, but stretched, not bushy.

i would like to switch to 24/0 to help them develop.
they are currently asleep, will switching on the lights now disturb them? they have been on 16/8 of natural sunlight including (occasional top up with 250V 2700k flowering light 2 hours 3 days a week) this whole time.

I can see my light wasn't sufficient, but i had a weird schedule where i would be away from home most of the week, could not leave light on and didnt have timers.

Why i can switch for 24/0 for only 5 days.
The problem is my parents are coming to visit in 5 days for 3 weeks. They will for sure know its cannabis and for sure see the plants. It will be very awkward for them, but if it's natural light and stuff, they might understand if it's lights and foil and indoors, they will think ive gone full retard and never talk to me again. Never go full retard.

    SO
CAN I SWITCH TO 24/0 for 5 days and then 3 weeks of daylight and then back to 24/0 after they leave, until it's time to flower?
They are in veg stage, about 10 weeks in. One is auto flowering. they have been mostly in a conservatory, but not the strongest sun.

Thanks for opinions. the threads i have read didn't tell me so much about this kind of thing. they were more pros vs cons of 24/0, but not much about interrupting sleep cycles during veg phase or giving varied light like one day 18/6, next day 16/8, next day 20/4.

Please help- any thoughts welcome !

It's not about the hours of light.
Sunlight gets interrupted all the time so we are not concerned with the hours of daylight.

What will bite you is the hours of no light.
Once plants sense >12 hours of darkness, Florigen is produced.
    That will trigger flowering.

You should be able to get away with 24:0 for a while with regular girls.
And you should be able to drop back to 16:8 without much fuss.

However, I know squat about autoflower plants, never grew one.

Hang around, someone who does know may pop in.

    Aloha,
    Weezard
