One month old plants - need your advices

    Hello,

I posted earlier about germination as i'm a first time grower. Small indoor growing as natural as possible. Now i need your help as i'm going further. My plants are now 4 weeks old and I'm guessing there is still a problem with it...(see the pictures below). Very long stems, seems fragile, not so many leaves and spaced up...seems to be searching for light ??

To answer some question you might ask, here is the process so far :

-Indoor growing using only a small light (50 w halogen) and standard neon close to the plants (see pictures for the setup)
-Seedlings are LOW RYDER and EARLY WONDER AUTO seeds
-Germinated one month ago into Jiffy pellets
-Transferred in small container (250ml) for a week or so...They started well but had the tendency to grow very long and tiny...so i've got them out the closet and put 6" under a 50w halogen light
-After a couple more days, i transferred them in bigger containers (around 1 gallon) since the roots were already coming out from the bottom of the original small container.
-They've been indoor the whole time, having light 24h/7days
-I started to use diluted 15-15-30 fertilizer (5ml for liter) since 2 weeks, maybe once or twice a week, only small amounts for now not to burn the roots.

What is your opinion ? Does the plants looks normal for 4 weeks old inside growing with mostly natural light and small additional light source ? If not, what would you say is the problem and how i could improve the situation ??? Still a cannot put so many lights sources and want it to grow as close as possible as a normal indoor plant.

    Thank you very much !!

halogen ??? Standard neon??? Why did you choose those particular lights? And what is your 'natural light' source? Just something you have laying around? Look into proper grow lighting and grow equipment. If you go cheap your grow results will be cheap.

You would be far better off and so will your babies if you get some proper lighting as Shov said, but even if you cant afford or have the resources for an HID light, you can still veg them for very cheap. I made a CFL 1600W (equivalent) veg light for $40. Obviously you don't need 1600W, so even cheaper for you. Halogens are not good for growing weed. they are way too hot for the amount of light they put out and neon is even worse. T5 flourescent bulbs in 6500K work well also for veggin if you have enough and they are close to the plants. Just read up on lighting and make sure you buy 6500K cfl's and the rest is easy. You will have to come up with something better for flowering, but natural light will work for that if it's the SUN! Good luck!
