First time fimming. Is this right? plz help!
Hello,
I am brand new to this site.
I fimmed my first plant today. After completing this i realized there's no need to cut through at least two leaves to get to the stem of the plant. I should have spread atleast two leaves before. Anyways im watching it regrow(3 days now) and it looks funny. Supposedly you may get 4 tops but I dont see new leaf growth really. I posted two pics, sorry if there not clear.
Plz let me know if i did this right because if not i am just going to top it asap.
Thank You

Im not a big fan of fimming. If i were you I would just top the plant twice, once now, and once on the 2 new tops when they hit their 3rd nodes.

I do FIM but I also agree with Mr GrowBig^^^. If your going to 'miss' and just give the leaves a trim that is not going to do anything to help bush out the plant. Make sure you cut deep enough to split the stem. And also top each of the resulting stems again... and done.
If you just get the stem dividing in two, that a normal topping or cropping. If you just get raggedy edged leaves and the plant continues on like a Christmas tree that didn't do it. If you get lucky and the stem divides into 3 or more branches them you got fucking lucky.

When you say cut deep into the stem. You mean deep but not so deep you top it right.

When you FIM find the growing tip spread the leaves back so you can get at the very tip cut the top 80% off, use very sharp scissors, when you hit it you get 4 tops and it really cuts down on the time it takes.....big fan of FIMing
