I do FIM but I also agree with Mr GrowBig^^^. If your going to 'miss' and just give the leaves a trim that is not going to do anything to help bush out the plant. Make sure you cut deep enough to split the stem. And also top each of the resulting stems again... and done.

If you just get the stem dividing in two, that a normal topping or cropping. If you just get raggedy edged leaves and the plant continues on like a Christmas tree that didn't do it. If you get lucky and the stem divides into 3 or more branches them you got fucking lucky.

After completing this i realized there's no need to cut through at least two leaves to get to the stem of the plant. I should have spread atleast two leaves before. Anyways im watching it regrow(3 days now) and it looks funny. Supposedly you may get 4 tops but I dont see new leaf growth really. I posted two pics, sorry if there not clear.
