Question about lollipopping

As a suggestion from a friend I cut off the lower branches the day before switching to 12/12. I only took of 3 -4 branches and some leaves. Do I need to do this again when it's in flower or just let it grow? I did LST on the top most branch and now a lot of little side branches are forming. How long do I LST?

usually when i lollipop i do it a week or two before i put it into flowering to reduce the stress on the plant.
i also use foxfarm open seasame. i start using that 2 weeks before flowering as well. by the time i put my
girls into the flowering tent they already have buds forming. before it would take me almost two
weeks before i saw any buds forming. as far as lst i don't do that until its in the flowering tent.
i tie all the top colas to my screen of green and the bottoms explode up and i do this until the bottoms are almost as tall as
the ones i tied down. that's just now i do it...Im not an expert but i grow great smoke

I think it's a maintenance thing. At least weekly I'll cut out the stretchers coming up from the bottom.
