Good information from built2spill except that I really don't ever, ever see transplant shock in my grows. Check them out, I've got a few on here going back quite a while. I don't know why that is or why others see a 7-10 day slump. The plants usually thrive in the new container right off.
I choose to germinate seeds by putting them in a DAMP paper towel, in a baggie on top of the refrigerator (now I use the cable modem in my office). 80ºF is a good temperature to germinate. The sprouts go into soil within 24-48 hours.
Shovelhandle Reviewed by Shovelhandle on . First Time Grower. Am I on the right track? I'm going to be ordering my seeds soon and I just want to make sure I have all of my materials in order. Im going to be growing outdoors. I'm going to be purchasing feminized seeds from nirvana. I'm using FF ocean soil with FF Trio nutrients ( I know to cut nutes in half per gallon) Nutrients will be mixed in a gallon of distilled water, and used once every 3-4 days Should I add anything to the ocean soil? If so what ratio? Ill be beginning my seeds in a cup of water, once they sprout Rating: 5
