ULTIMATE ODOR FILTRATION .... THE "NINJA BOX"

I wont lie to you, this filter wasn't cheap to build and took a week. I spent around $200 in activated carbon alone! Buying in bulk! This thing has 45lbs of activated charcoal. It is basically a four stage system. The first filter is a regular allergen air filter. It is there to stop debris from clogging up the carbon media. The next filter is the activated carbon. It is a 12" thick zone of acid washed granular activated charcoal made from coconut husks. You HAVE to rinse this stuff out before putting it in to get rid of the bulk of the dust. After the carbon there is one more regular allergen air filter. It's purpose is to prevent the HEPA filter from getting clogged by carbon dust. The final filter is a HEPA type filter. The air has no problem percolating through the medium, because of the increase in cross-sectional area from a 4" circle to a 14"x14" square. I am confident that even the smelliest strain couldn't beat this thing! NINJA to the MAX!!! Give a round of applause to the NINJA BOX with FREE blueprint diagram for sharing and use! Sorry I don't have any pictures of the box when I was building it. I'm kicking myself for that now.... The interior was jawdroppingly good.
DO NOT use polyurethane on the box with the access panels attached. You have to polyurethane the box with them off and polyurethane the panels separately or you will never get them apart down the line. Once they are fully cured you can use Mastic AKA Duct Sealer to seal them on. This seal can easily be broken a year or two down the line for filter and/or media replacement, then resealed with more Mastic.

You MUST polyurethane the MDF or air will blow through the wood itself. The box needs to be air-tight. I used screws and wood glue for assembly of the wood panels. This box is awesome when finished and the filters slide right into place.
