HELP! Removing honey/oil from vape hose

I've had a dual hose Top Vaporizer for a while now. I only use one hose and at this point there's a decent amount of "honey" built up. I've heard it called oil, honey, resin, etc. All I know is that I want it. I have an extra hose so I was wondering if I should just cut it open and remove the "honey" or if there's a better way. Please help!

HELP! Removing honey/oil from vape hose

It's a hose, should be easy.

Ethanol, (everclear, Rum, etc), or Isopropyl alcohol will dissolve resin.

Just siphon right from the bottle into a container through the hose.
The switch heights and siphon it back.
    Few times should do it.

Use Rum and save the results. You may be on to something.

The tube won't be dissolved will it? Its plastic I'm pretty sure
And I have 70% Iso but another rubbing alcohol that says 91% USP. Should I play it safe with the Iso?

The switch heights and siphon it back.
    ^what do you mean?

If it's food grade tubing the 91% iso is best.

Test the end of the tube first, just in case.
    Or, use Rum.

Then switch heights and siphon it back.

I mean, raise the lower container above the upper container and the liquid will reverse direction.

Hmmm, your hand is sweating and I can't find my silver spoon.
Mo' betta you look up "siphon" for yourself.

Then you will know more than you knew.
    Read.

HELP! Removing honey/oil from vape hose

I have successfully cleaned the hose and am waiting for the alcohol to evaporate. After only the oil is left, how do I collect it and where should I keep it?
    Thanks Weeze!

HELP! Removing honey/oil from vape hose

There are several methods that leap to mind.
Back in '68 I did extractions with lighter fluid, (Naphtha).
Boiled it down over an incandescent lightbulb.
When it started getting thick, we dipped the end of a cigarette in it and it wicked half way up.
Hadda make sure the Ronsonol was gone before trying to light 'em.
    That was easy, it stunk.

I do not recommend that for many reasons.

You can speed the alcohol/water evap. with a fan.
Use a flat bottomed glass saucer and scrape it up with a razor blade.
The smaller and flatter the evap. vessel is, the thicker the oil will be at the bottom.

Then use "Turkey bag" squares, or wax paper to store it in the fridge.
The cold will harden it and it won't stick to the turkey bag.

All that said, you may be disappointed in the end product.
While it once was condensed resin, after it is spread thin and exposed to air, much of it will oxidise.
Oxidised resin will make you feel, um, tired.
The good news is, however much THC and CBD that is left will already be decarboxylated.

    That should get you started.
    Havin' fun yet?
