First time smoking in a year problem

So basically i'm wondering if this is normal.
Basically,I used to smoke everyday for about 1 year and a half.Everything was fine,I would get high with maybe half a joint(Yea,I always got high quick).One day,I tried out spice and I got a panic attack.
Since this moment,I didn't smoke for about one year.
Yesterday,I thought I would smoke again just to try.So basically,I bought some weed about 3 days ago(It wasn't shitty,my friend got high out of it the day before) and decided to smoke it.
I roll one joint,and smoke it all by myself,but I didn't get high.Not at all.I know how to smoke,that's not the problem.
Anyone know why I didn't get high?Before that 1 year break I would get high so easily,but yesterday I didn't even get high from one entire joint...
(Sorry for my bad english,I am french.I hope you can atleast understand what i'm saying ^^)

I seriously don't think it's bad weed since my friend got very high out of it the day before.

Dunno, man. Maybe the adrenaline in your system was flushing it faster than you could consume? There's a variable in this equation that we haven't heard yet.

Some strains get me higher than others but like Token say..........bad weed probably............try another strain but be careful with the sativas like haze they are more likely to cause panic.
