This should serve as an example of why new growers should forget about PH levels unless they are using hydroponics for growing medium. I even discourage that since its a big investment as compared to a pot full of dirt and a watering bucket and some nutrients. With dirt it isn't necessary to check the PH levels all the time - I only use my PH kit for checking on my 'mother' plant which may be in the same pot for up to a year. I use it for supplying clones. Cheap PH meters are at best junk. The moisture meter function is useful but forget the idea of a useful PH meter for $7 - ain't gonna happen.

I checked the PH and it was pretty low so I added some Earth Juice Up to it about 24 hours ago. When I woke up 8 hours ago... this is how my plant looked. I gave it water and when I got home from work, it still looks like this! At the bottom, the runoff water is discolored. It's weird because in the morning the container that holds the runoff water was completely empty. I added little water, not Rating: 5
