thanks to all the contributors of this thread,your help and understanding hqs been invaluable.

my parents say they are aware of the medical benefits but think that long term use of marijuana lead to cancer and mental illness.

asking for their peer reviewed sources for this is merely dismissed

as suggested previously it seems they are set in their ways

i dont live with them..im just staying here for the next 5 weeks as i had major back surgery...this is why i want to medicate.

oh well..i guess it is how it is..hopefully others can benefit from this thread as well.

I have had major back surgery in the last 2 weeks and using cannabis to medicate. There is nothing like it , relieves my constipation, allows me to go to sleep , no side effects prevents me from taking a large amount of painkillers. Anyway , due to the nature of my surgery I have to stay with my parents.
