Hello, I am a pancreatic cancer patient using marijuana. I have seen it is working for me with chemo. I have to do chemo biweekly and use marijuana to relief from suffering due to side effects. I used to smoke some 20 years ago and stopped. I used to drink beer until 1996 and quit smoking cigarettes habit of 30 years about 4 years ago. I just started marijuana last month and believe me, for the short time it helps me. I live in Illinois so I'm no stranger to medical marijuana in this state. Well, it past both Houses and awaiting for Governor Pat Quinn to sign it into law. They are going to do a 4 year test pilot program. I have discussed this with my Oncologist and she is very much against it. I wonder why? Does she support the drug company with dangerous chemotherapy drugs. She had me started on 3 doses of chemo per treatment and it put me outta work due to my weakness. And I couldn't handle it so she had to cut it down to 2 doses. It's more tolerable. I may return to work part time. Nice to be here and thank you for having me.
