First time post: Took a lapcorp urine test today and am freaking out...HELP!

Hi, all. I've been lurking here on and off for the past few weeks. The company where I've been working the last year and a half as a temp has decided to hire me full-time and I had to take a drug test today as a formality...BUT I think the LABCORP tech might have suspected me of diluting, so I'm freaking out.

I took an at home test that is supposed to be equivalent to the 50 ng/dl (or whatever it is) yesterday and my second line was pretty faint so I decided to use the method outlined in the dilution sticky. I followed what was outlined in the sticky but my urine was still clear when I had to go to my appointment. I dumped it out and told the tech that I had a shy bladder and asked to wait. She could tell by what little residue was left in the cup that the urine was clear and asked me how much water I had drank. I told her I always drink about 8 glasses of water a day. She kindly told me not to rush, wait about an hour, and sent me back to the waiting room. But then she and a co-worker were whispering and looking over at me.

After an hour, I went back in and produced urine that was pale yellow. She had me sign and sent me on my way. But I've been researching labcorp policies and tests. If she suspected me of diluting, could she skip the initial analysis and have a gh/mc test done? Cause I might have less than 50 ng/dl but there's no way I'll beat 15 ng/dl. So...does anyone know if a lap tech can recommend a higher test can be run even if I pass the initial screen???

About me: I'm 5'8'', female, 180ish pounds (curvy but not obese). I usually use edibles (maybe 2-3 times a month) and the last time I used was a little over two weeks ago.

Drug tests are not conducted in that manner. Samples that are determined to be diluted (due to low creatinine and specific gravity) will still undergo the same 50 ng Immunoassay for the initial screen as it would if the sample wasnt determined to be diluted. Only samples that have tested "non-negative" for a drug panel(s) on the I/A screen will undergo a confirmation GC/MS test with a lower (numerically) cutoff level.

And dont let the differing cutoff levels worry you. Although their cutoffs numerically differ, a 50 ng Immunoassay is functionally equivalent to the 15 ng GC/MS. Their cutoffs differ numerically because the I/A screen recognizes all 31 metabolite concentrations combined, while the GC/MS recognizes only one metabolite concentration.

THC enters the body in its ingested form and exits the body as 31 different metabolite concentrations. The most prevalent form of these concentrations is THC-COOH.

In order to pass the I/A screen the whole combination of the 31 metabolite concentrations must register below 50 ng/ml.
In order to test negative on the GC/MS, only one metabolite concentration (THC-COOH) must register below 15 ng/ml. The GC/MS has to be set at a numerically lower cutoff level in order to make the two types of tests functionally equivalent.

Just got the report from HireRight...looks like I passed! All drug panels, including cannibis, were negative. Still need to hear from my HR dept. but that's a load off my mind. Burnt Toast, thank you for the reassurance and the dilution sticky!!
