the fact the collector mentioned that the temp when submitted "wasn't very good".
Obviously, the temp was good enough for the collector. Otherwise the collector wouldve ordered an immediate re-collect under D/O. The reason why temp is checked is because its a measure of deterrence from bringing in a substituted sample. Once the sample is processed and sent off, temp is no longer a factor.

pH is checked to determine adulteration only (due to sample being spiked with a drop-in additive, bleach, etc). As long as the sample wasnt spiked, you have nothing to worry about.
Burnt Toast Reviewed by Burnt Toast on . A little re assurance would be great Here's the situation my friend is in..... If a person took a DOT/SAMSHA test, and in the temp box they marked "yes" for 90-100, but in the comments they wrote 92 (they did this before when it was 94 and there was no problem) and also wrote something along the lines of "very strong smell", will there be issues at the lab or MRO ? One would assume that once it's bagged and initialed it's good to go, right ? If the collector wasn't going to accept the sample, a re-test should have taken place Rating: 5
