I currently live in Florida and I too am unhappy with the harassment of patients. My suggestion would be to move to Washington. You may be thinking "I can't move to Washington, it's too cold and it rains all the time." That's not completely true. I lived in Washington for a couple years, the best couple years of my life actually. There are very distinct climates in Washington. If you are looking for somewhere warm, try near the Yakima Valley area. Though I would avoid Yakima itself because crime is a real problem there. It's colloquially called "Little Chicago." The climate in southeast Washington is relatively dry, and gets quite warm. Precipitation is moderate. There are rarely heavy torrential downpours. I hear there are dust storms occasionally, but I personally never saw one. If you aren't worried about climate take a look at the Snoqualmie Ridge area. Living there can be expensive, so if money is an issue look for a suburb of Seattle. Bellevue is a nice area with a wide range of affordability. It's also very close to several other larger cities. Also as someone with computer skills, you might be able to get hired by Microsoft. I've never been to Western Washington, but I hear they get assaulted by foul weather often. Much like the Sunshine State. Try your hand at Craigslist. There are a lot of really nice locations available for rent. So you can check the area out for 6 months or a year and see how you like it.
