    Any advice for first DT?

Well first off some general info. 6'3" 158lbs (been 155-160for past 6 years)high metabolism, everyday smoker for 7 years up to 3-4x a day. HAve not toked in about 20 days and haven't even been around it. Been drinking 4-5 bottles of water a day, Gatorade, juice and cut down on the sodas. I took a home test 4 pa el and passed a week ago with a faint line, took one for just MJ last night and failed. Obviously I'm nervous now with my DT tomorrow. I've never DT for a job before so this is new to me. Do you think I have a chance of passing or should I use the QF 5.7-1 Canadian I purchased. Like I said first time for this so any insight is greatly appreciated. Quit cold turkey.

I just tested the QF and warmed it up to 98-100 in microwave, put on compression shorts then a pair of boxers, slipped it in under my taint and then sat for an hr. I figure I can make it to the office in 30 mins and shouldn't have to wait for more than 30. Anyway, after the hr it was reading 96.

    Personally, I'd dilute. http://boards.cannabis.com/drug-test...uidelines.html

A littel bit could be just enough to save you. I hope it helps, and I hope it's in time.

Today's the day. Guess I'm going to sub since I can't get any other answers on here. I don't feel like dilution would work since I haven't done anything to raise my creatine levels or whatever by now. Wish me luck..if I fail I'm out of my current and future job :l

Good move on the subbing, given your stated toking history..
everyday smoker for 7 years up to 3-4x a day.
Dilution techniques are geared towards lighter tokers rather that heavy daily tokers. And theyre not a 100% sure thing. They can backfire if the THCA concentration in the bladder is too high. For most longtime daily users, it would be virtually impossible to dilute that concentration enough without overdiluting and raising the red flags at the lab.

Thanks Burnt T. Also the facility I am going to says that they do instant urine drug testing. Is that basically the same as an at home test? Fill the cup and then they just read what the label says..no sending out to a lab?

Yep! The instant assay kits function on the same principle as the home kits. And neither are more reliable than the other.

Thats possible. The client (employer, P/O, etc) can opt for an onsite instant screen if that option is available for them. Some clinics are not certified to conduct any onsite analysis - theyre only certified to collect the specimens. Thats why a sample gets sent to a lab facility.

Even if a sample is sent to a lab, thats nothing to really worry about. At the lab, an instant assay screen is still performed first. If the sample tests negative on the instant, youre home free - test over.

Well the deed is done. Did the whole process before leaving..right before pulling up to the place I went ahead and crotched it. Walked in and was called in about 3 minutes later. Once in I quickly pulled the pants down, waited a few seconds and then pee'd as I filled. Did not stay in long but just long enough. After that filled out the paperwork and headed out the door. It was checked that itwas in right temp zone. Fingers crossed..how long would I expect to hear something if I was too?

That is known as a "split-sample collection". No big deal. Sample is split into vial A and vial B. Vial A gets tested while vial B is put into storage. If vial A tests positive for a particular drug(s), and the donor decides to mount a challenge to the results, then vial B gets tested.

Thanks for all of your insight Burnt. Took the test Wednesday 30 mins before they closed. Its Friday..should I have heard if I it came up positive by now. My "future" employer had given me a start date before I even took it so I am assuming he would have said something by now.
