yeah the i havent really messed around too much yet so the color was by luck and leds. another day or so some will have some more good purple showing. the one with the white top is as green as it ever was. the other 3 all are showing purple on the leaves and buds. weird. a 7000 nice. way too much camera for me. i looked at those too but got a 5200 and its still a huge learning curve from the old pentax 35mm i have. i used a 40mm f/2.8g micro, no rails. set it up with control pro2 and let controlmynikon take the stack. it works nice and quik but it is a lil sloppyish compared to humans. still works nice. i used zerene to stack them too. i'll get it right eventually once i spend more time with it.

You'll love the 5200 -- that's a great rig. I grew up with Pentax 35mm gear and got a D80 when it first came out (my first DSLR) and had to have the 7000 when it came out. Love it. I had to look at controlmynikon -- hadn't seen that before. Cool! I'll have to put that on the laptop and try it out. In theory, that should give a more accurate focus stack than doing it manually (but adding a computer to control it will be a minor inconvenience).

well controlmynikon doesnt seem to have a manual focus control and nikon control pro 2 does but doesnt have stacking that i can find anyway, so i use them both. until that changes. its also a little weird with live view but its an awesome program for the doh. i still love film tho dont know if that will ever change.
