    The wait is Killing me!!

I took a test at concentra this last Friday. I subbed using ultra pure synthetic urine. They accepted my sample (temp check passed, sample sealed and signed). However, I am a very impatient person, and my employer is slow at responding with things. Can I call concentra themselves, or the ATN (where the sample is tested at) to find the results? I have the ID # of my test, so they could look it up if I called (but I don't know if they do that).

AHHH! My summer depends on this test!

I found the ATN website that lets me enter the # I have to find the results. All it says is, "the specimen has been reported 5/4/2013. What does this mean? Reported as in they got it, or reported as in something is wrong with it?

It means that the results were reported to your employer.

Give the employer a call and ask for your "start date". The employers response oughta shed some light on whether youre good to go, or if the employer had moved on to the next applicant for hire.

Never inquire about the test results! A person who is truly drug-free would never do this because, being drug-free, theres no reason to do so. Inquiring about the results would only serve to raise suspicious eyebrows.
Youd want to assume the "I dont use drugs, therefore my drug test is a non-issue" mindset. You would be notified one way or another if there was a problem with the urine sample.

My employer already knows the day I plan on starting (assuming I pass the drug test of course) so I can't call and ask that. What would be the next best thing to say to them?

I was thinking of just emailing her (since that is the way 90% of the communication between us has been) and saying:

    "Good afternoon,
I took my pre-placement drug test last Friday, so I should be all set to start working on May 20th. Is there any paperwork I need to fill out prior to the start date?"

I would leave out any and all references to the drug test altogether. Just skip on to the inquiry about the "start date" and/or "paper work", if anything.

If a start date has already been established, just simply show up for work and carry on with your duties with that "drug-free person" mindset. And dont discuss anything about the drug test with anyone. You want to be viewed as a "drug-free person", right?

    The wait is Killing me!!

I emailed her on tuesday just saying along the lines of, "is there any paper work I need to complete prior to my start date of may 20th? I'd like to get it out of the way so I can dive right in on my first day."

She has still not responded! I feel like she might be on vacation that she hasn't responded to me. I will probably call monday afternoon.

I followed up with a call since I haven't heard back from her yet. She told me when and what to bring for my first day! Ultra Pure Synthetic Urine for the win!! I'm extremely excited. That test basically depended on how my summer was going to go.

I am now part of the sub club :rastasmoke:
