ummmm, purple just means it's purple. and if a dealer says he has purple haze I would get strait the fuck out. that strain is extinct. BUT there can be a purple haze. OK, explain time. Haze is a strain by itself. Purple haze is a completely different one, it has other stuff in it. what is now advertised as "purple haze" is haze where the purple is a dominant trait. it won't be the actuall stuff the haze bros had. but it's haze and haze is good

Anyway, there are at least 10 strains that have the genetics to turn purple. As far as I know, purple is a trait belonging to cannabis plants that have become accustomed to colder climates. Being a certain color has nothing to do with potency.
