A question about posting photos

Why are there so many side-ways photos on this website? I can't remember a time when so many people just post up sideways photos. I can't look at 'em, make me dizzy. Is it a European thing? Southern hemisphere? East/West???

I hear ya, with the advent of "smartphones" etc most peeps just take a quick shot, no artistic value devalues the beauty? I'm just as guilt cuz I'll use my iPhone when in a rush. Case in point my last jpeg of that rogue plant I found in the garden. Looks sideways when viewing but when opened up to large scale it reverts to a normal looking pic? Go figure. Yea, Avatars..... must be speaking of me lol, my ADD kicks in sometimes! I take it that you are not a big fan of my Shiite?!
