there's good purple and bad purple good purple comes from the strain itself.. bad purple is what happens when your plants are too cold, they turn purplish but dont have the "purple" taste.

p.s.
if all you care about is the color, just add food coloring to your water you can make whatever color plants u want hehe

Umm..i have about 15-20 seeds and i was doing the 'wrap em up in paper towels' thing and it worked with four of them and it's goin on a week and a half and the others aren't doing anything.
