I followed your advice Weezard and checked into skunk pharm research. And they have a good category on decarboxylation. And fortunately the first question someone asked in the comments section was the same thing I was having trouble understanding. So you kind of indirectly answered my question this time through the advice you gave me to look into Graywolf and skunk pharm.

Very good website. Ill be able to spend a couple hours of study on there. And at least gives a good solid credible jumping off point for further study.

I went ahead and drained the alcohol solution from the plant material in hopes that it should be long enough, I am doing a second wash with a little more alcohol just to make sure I got everything. But I'm hoping a day soak would be enough. Especially since I did that little 20 minute heat/ boil last night.

So I guess we will see. Ill evap tonight and then decarb the finished oil product. I then might reconstitute some of it with some more alcohol just to make it easier to scrape up and store so it won't be sticking to everything. I can always re-evaporate if I want it back to oil I guess.
