    I run T5 HO (hotter than T-12) and for side lighting I put chicken wire over the lamps so the plants can grow right up to it. No issues at all. Right now the seedlings are about 3-6" under the lamps without problem.

    Ok, this photo was this week just before transplant into 5 gallon bags/pails but the distance is even closer now.

    A tad off topic but here are 2 of the 4 different types of bud from last year. (L) Unknown Sativa & (R) Super Skunk. Man alive, it gets better after 6 months. & they are TOTALY different, aromatics i.e. taste, head & of course Richter Scale.

    So, today is the 24th. Here's a new shot a week or so after placed under lights. Should I be concerned & when should I start using "grow big"? Bad jpeg but think you get the point.

    you only need grow big if the soil is depleted and i dont think youre there yet.
