Random Testing

Hey all,

I've read a lot of the great information on this board and got great info from the pre-employment u/a I had, but now I've got another problem. Because some jerk was getting eff'd up at work, they're going to begin randomly testing. On the bright side, they've said the testing will be 10% of the company once a month (on or about the 15th is when it starts), so I know approximately when it'll be. The downside is that they start in less than a week and I need to be prepared if I'm one of the randomly selected 10%.

I have a bottle of the QuickFix that I got before I started my job over a year ago, but I haven't seen anything about when/if it expires. I haven't smoked in about a week, so dilution may work, but it only lasts for a few hours, so if they pop it late in the day I could be screwed.

So I've got a few questions if some of the gurus around here would be kind enough to give me some advice:

1. Does anyone have any experience with random tests? I think if I get the short straw this go 'round and pass, I'll need to make a plan on future smoking. The thought of going through 30 hand warmers a month carrying a warm bottle of fake piss isn't exactly appealing...

2. Does anyone know if QuickFix has an expiration? I'm going to get a new one, but it may not get here by Monday so I need to make other preparations if it's viability is in question.

3. If it's thought that the QF I have is no longer good, what other options do I have? Dilution seems like it would be alright if I knew it would be in the morning, but it might be afternoon (or even Tuesday or Wednesday for all I know).

Any help/advice/sympathy cards would be greatly appreciated.

To answer one of my own questions: Yes, QF has a 2+ year shelf life. So this also negates question 3. So now I just need to find a good method to be prepared for randoms...
