while ive been playing with my attempt a starting a small hydro set up, like most i noticed no matter how quiet your pump may be they all vibrate enough to still be noisy.
i tried a few different things to see what was less like to amply or transfer the vibration. i didnt have much that worked.
so i took a chunk of window screen and wrapped it around the body of the pump and made a sling for it. it also acts a bit of a prefilter for the intake.
i hung that from one of the roof pole in my tent and no more vibration or noise. its only a tiny one outlet but i cant hear it all anymore all i can hear are my fans from the lights and thats
with the tent open. i have larger 8 outlet on the way i am going to do the same thing with. it will be a little louder because it puts out a lot more air but it wont be near as bad as if it were sitting on some
sort of surface.
