good way to reduce airpump vibration noise
while ive been playing with my attempt a starting a small hydro set up, like most i noticed no matter how quiet your pump may be they all vibrate enough to still be noisy.
i tried a few different things to see what was less like to amply or transfer the vibration. i didnt have much that worked.
so i took a chunk of window screen and wrapped it around the body of the pump and made a sling for it. it also acts a bit of a prefilter for the intake.
i hung that from one of the roof pole in my tent and no more vibration or noise. its only a tiny one outlet but i cant hear it all anymore all i can hear are my fans from the lights and thats
with the tent open. i have larger 8 outlet on the way i am going to do the same thing with. it will be a little louder because it puts out a lot more air but it wont be near as bad as if it were sitting on some

good way to reduce airpump vibration noise
You know the non slip cabinet and drawer liners? That's what I use. They're a light weight rubber and absorb it pretty well. No real vibrations or humming anymore.

good way to reduce airpump vibration noise
i was wondering what you ended up using. you mean like the thin rubber sheet type or the the kind that comes on a roll? i just got my bigger pump. it seems they ran out of the ones i ordered so they sent the commercial version for the same money.
this thing isnt a pump its a compressor, what a beast. 30 lpm higher output. we'll see what that sounds like once i get it all set up. maybe ill try it out on my little bubbler.
