Is my plant a male?
I am brand new to growing. I have a few seeds that have just sprouted, but my uncle gave me a plant that he's had for a little while and I am about 99% positive it's a male. I would just like some educated information on my plant in specific. I have read how to tell the difference, but I would like some re-assurance.

No, males produce no medicine to speak of. No hash, no oil, no butter, nothing worth while except pollen to make seeds.

Males would make some nice clothes, rope, shoes, paper etc, etc. hemp has been used for a long time until our American nazis felt it was in competition with Their industries!

in my growers guide mel or ed talk about using salt water cures on males because the salt causes the tissues to shrink more than other types of curing.
that concentrates the trichs and makes the smoke a little better. ive tried some males here and there. for the most part they suck but once in a while you can get lucky.

I remember as a kid smoking anything that would burn. I like to think that we've moved on from that stage here. Go ahead and grow, harvest and smoke all the males you want or try to make hashish. If anyone does try it I'd like to hear their review of such effort.

ive done it before shov. i certainly wouldnt ever trade a thousand males for one female but once in a while some of the males ive had werent all that bad.
i never bothered to cure any of them really but i did try the saltwater cure once and i made something like cigars a couple times. never made hash either but i did make some oil a couple times.
saltwater cure taste like pure shit but the buzz wasnt bad, short lived though. the cigars tasted a little better but still skanky and short lived. the oil was good but it takes a lot of material and honestly
was a bit cost prohibitive for the butane i had to use. hash might have been a better route but i cant stand the taste of pollen when it burns and theres no keeping it out.
so is it worth it? probably not so much. but i guess if your bored and wanted to goof around with it you can get "something" out of it. thats all i really meant.
zenchild, for the record they will produce zero bud. what they produce will be clusters of flowers. if you take the clusters before they start to get big and straggly it will be less nasty tasting and a little less likely
to give you headache. the other thing to consider is this, unless youre interested in producing seed(and the ones from that plant will result in more males than females) its a bit of waste of resources, time and space. never mind the risk of contaminating your girlies.
