Normal to lose some fan leaves at end of cycle?
Normal to turn yellow at end of life cycle (flowering)? If not, should all leaves be green at end of cycle?

yes, it's normal. If they start to yellow too early they need feeding. If they don't yellow at all and it's late you need to water without nutrients. Outdoors is the same but it's difficult, if not impossible to dilute the nutrients in the earth.
