With your naked eye only, when 50% of pistils (the 'hairs' on the buds) turn brown.

Colour of the pistils is a good enough guide but if you got a magniphying glass you can see all the little resin glands and they will swell to a mushroom shape , this is fully ripe , they somtimes go from a clear colour to a misty colour.

the best way to determine when ur plant is at its peak in THC, is to get a magnifying glass and look at the trichomes, once about 80% of em turn an amber color, ur plant is ready. otherwise you can watch for the hairs to start turning red or orange, once 70-80% of the plant appears mainly red hairs, chop it!

Yes i,ve read that they will turn amber, but in 7 or 8 years i have grown many many strains and i have never see the resin glands turn amber .
I left one of my first grows till January and still they didn,t turn amber .

hahaha, you got banned? you have to use a 60x magnification to see the trichomes, ive seen em before on my plants, so u either had a fucked up magnifying glass, or ur shit wasnt ready!
