    Experienced Growers' Yields for Comparison

We are not "hobby growers" & would like to see how our yields compare to others.

What are your average dry yields per plant growing indoors in soil under 1000 watt HPS lights? We are growing Jack Flash & averaging 3 ozs dry per plant. We are starting a room with White Widow XTRM. We don't top our plants, but do raise them while in Veg thereby eliminating all lower non-productive growth.

Looking forward to worthwhile input from experienced growers that can be of help to us all. If this has been discussed in another thread, please let me know. I couldn't find one.

    Experienced Growers' Yields for Comparison

I often see a gram per watt of nice quality smoke. An LB from one 400 watt or two plus lbs from 1016 watts would be very good for me. I have a harvest I'll weigh soon. It's pretty good yield, now my best.
I know some growers getting 2.5gm/watt and better. That's wicked impressive. But these people aren't limited to soil.

Grams to Ounces: We have 3000 watts which would = 3000 grams??? Divided by 28.9 = 104 ozs divided by 16 plants = 6.5 ozs per plant. That makes my 3 ozs pretty pathetic. Is it the strain that yields so poorly or what? I have no problems with heat, humidity, ph, insects, etc. I use SunMaster 1000 Watt Super High-Output HPS Deluxe with high output ballasts.

I want to know what "those people" are doing! And what YOU'RE doing! I'm getting 3 lbs from 3000 watts!!! Boo hoo!

I just realized that you & others must be growing more plants under equivalent lights in order to get that kind of yield. And, you're probably topping & each plant has 4-6 tops & no undergrowth. Am I right???

I have a few grow logs here on Cannabis.com in the indoor grow forum. Check out my profile and threads I started. There you'll find the grow logs.
Yes, I top, LST, trim all the bottom stuff out.

You can place a lightbulb on a mover if you want; a rail you hang from a ceiling and I think you can add an extra rail to cover several plants. This works because plants only need direct lighting some of the time and indirect the rest of the light period. Are you getting 3 oz or 3 lbs? 3 lbs ain't bad.

    1. Do you top once to end up with 2 tops? Will your grow logs explain what you do?
    2. What is LST?
    3. How far up do you trim the "bottom stuff"?
    4. How many plants do you think I should be growing under 3000 HPS Deluxe lights?
I'll check out your grow logs with pleasure. Thank you!

    I'm getting 3 lbs from 16 plants = 3 oz per plant.

if you have 16 plants under three 1000 w lights they should be trees and producing a lot more than 3 oz. How long do you veg and how big are your pots?

Although I'm pleased with my older grow logs, and they were quite productive, my most recent logs show how I'm doing it now. FYI, I have put 16 plants under a single 400 watt, and that's after an eight week veg period.

Yes, check out the grow logs, they will answer all your questions, usually with photos.
