Can you guys help me? Germinating problems :( Beginner grower here!

Well on friday, i purchased some seeds at herbiesheadshop, and got kerala regular seeds, some autoflowering auto diesel and some cheese.
I decided to start off with the kerala seeds, so I put the kerala seeds in a damp paper towel and left it at room temperature, near my heater for 24 hours the same day. Nothing has happened, and then this morning, (Sunday) I put them in a glass of water and they sank to the bottom. I hope they're not bad seeds cause i paid alot. Attachment 290443

can take 4 or 5 days to pop. if you use apaper towel it needs yo stay damp not soaking wet thatll get moldy. glass of water works well also. keep them in the dark not too hot not too cold. theyll open up

Just leave longer... Paper towel method normally takes my seeds 48/72 hours to see results. (COOL DARK PLACE)

paper towel wrung out well, just damp. inside a plastic baggie. Finding a warm spot can be tricky, too warm and they cook. I put them on top/back of the refrigerator or my cable modem. Neither place feels too warm to the touch, just right. Seeds pop in 24-48 hours.

I agree with Shovel 100%. I personally like to keep my house on the colder side so I use a small tote. I place a heating pad in the bottom on med. temp. Then I have a folded shower towel with the seeds, etc, placed in the middle. The seeds stay warm and dark once the lid is placed and usually pop within 3 or so days. Just something for you to think about if your house is on the colder side.

yut, I have cold hut too. But my dalgarn heating pad either cooks me or is off. No control at all. lol I been sleeping sittin in a chair with either the heat pad or ice blocks on leg or low back. But the pad does a good job in the cool spring sprouting seed trays.

Karen; paper towel, moist not wet wrapped loosely in aluminum foil & placed in gas oven (not turned on). Check on it the next day to make sure it doesn't completely dry out. this is very important! The heat radiated is approx. 80f which would be perfecto IMHO. Should sprout in 2-3 days tops. Methinks the seeds used are fubar. Try a new batch?
