need help 70th day of flower!!!!

I am on my second grow and I have upgraded a little but I'll start with the basics. unknown strain. 1000 watt Hps. the room has exhaust fan. It is in clean dirt mixed with fertilizer and perlite. every other feed about every 2-3 days gets beastie feed. with water on alternate feeds. I use molassis every feed. I also have other plants in same room of same age and trichomes look very healthy, those I believe to be a haze or lemon haze. I am concerned about the lack of trichomes on this plant. It is very tall and wirery and appears to have much puffier buds. not like the very tight and heavy buds from my first grow. although it has out grown my first plant 4to1. with much larger bud sites.. It also has yellowing leaves from the bottom to top and I dont know if that is normal. can someone please look at my pictures and tell me if I can fix something or help with trichome growth or is it just ready to harvest? I would soooo appreciate any help I could get with this.. thank you for reading

trichome production is a lot generic. I grow a few nice things side by side and they all look happy but one may be a jewel and one not at all.

Early yellowing/leaf loss was common for my grows for a log time. Perfect pH and nutrient control made a world of difference. I use organic soil and nutrients, so that's fairly simple to get it right but dialing in soil-less can hit it out of the park.

Your looking close - Hard to call, but it's very close. I zoomed in and didn't see any amber yet, but about 50% cloudy, so your almost there. Those buds still have a chance to tighten up some, and it kinda looks like a pineapple express, but not... (cross with hemp maybe?) Anyway, she's close. Tell me, does she smell citrusy? Lick a leaf, does it taste like lemon pledge? (Don't ask me how I know what lemon pledge tastes like)

ok so I did actually taste a leaf and yeah it does taste like lemon pledge. faint though.. and yes definitely a citrusy smell...smells nice. I guess I am just concerned with the very low trichomes. I do use a magnifying glass as per your instructions with my first grow. I do not see any ambers and very little trichomes to begin with. I have another plant in same room same age. no where near the size but nice tight buds and a complete frost. I do use a tlbs molassis everyfeed but this one just isnt doin the same thing. any ideas? also as for the other persons advice.. I do check my ph and i am pretty sure its good and my nutes are good but maybe not enough? all of my other plants are thriving and loving it so maybe just this plant?

The plant with little or no trichome production is most likely a Sativa; And, they do not always produce a lot of big trichomes.

If you have 50% cloudy...I would flush for 2 weeks and harvest. When you do this, your fan leaves will yellow and drop off as normal. When leaves yellow, this is a sign that the plabnt is using the stored nutrients in the leaves and is ready to harvest. This is why we cut the Nitrogen down in mid to late flower. This makes the product taste better.

I'm guessing you've got pineapple express that was an outdoor crop somewhere near where hemp grows wild (or some farmer is still smoking hemp) and you got some of that in a good pineapple strain - As far as pineapple express, she isn't an overly crystally breed, but very, very potent. Don't worry so much about the trichrome production, as many here will testify that a crystally nugget can still be a low density high. Pineapple is my #1 strain, and my favorite. Believe it or not, the reason she isn't reacting as well to your nutes, is because she wants MORE

Anything I feed my pineapple express I have to dilute by *****75%***** to give my other girls (now I just switched to RDWC so I have to play with my PH some to get her to eat right) in early flower is when her appetite REALLY picks up, and it stays that way into late bloom.

Would you like to know more? Another reason for your low trichrome count is because I'm almost 97% sure you've got hemp mixed in, hemp isn't really up in the trichromes either.

If I were you, I'd increase the nutes I was giving her by 50% JUST ONE TIME (next time you feed) to see if you note a difference in growth/production, IF YOU DO, then you know your grow buddy 'low' was right!

Would you like to know more? Another reason your not producing as many trichomes is because you MAY be underfeeding

I bet you were surprised when you found out I was right about the lemon pledge I know my pineys!

These plants die naturally after this long. 70 days of flower is great, you did it! Nothing but water for several days and harvest. Easy on the phosphorus ferts next time.

lol wow thank you so much. you have been a wealth of information. I have two of her clones so Im thinking I am gonna play around with the feed to see how she does and if she does any better. this one I have started a flush thinking that I dont want to waste any more time and space on a non trichome producing plant...I now know better... thank you.. I don't smoke weed but from what I have heard my whole life like" look at those chrystals" I just thought it was no good. does 75 days in flower seem right to you?

Days of flower probably depends on the genetics. 70 days is good for most plants. When you notice that, after a long time in flower, the leaves are turning yellow, then you just give water and plan on harvesting in about one week. You can harvest early if you want, just give water and not wait for leaves to go yellow. Mind you, if it seems early in the grow for leaves to yellow, it may not be natural death. It could be due to deficiency or other problem. Growers need to learn that when something happens to a plant is just as important as what it looks like and where it's taking place on the plants.
