    Switching to Hydro (YAY)

So. I'm now convinced that while CFL can produce good results, it cannot produce great results.

Being the avid shopper I am, I've been watching prices on gear to switch over for weeks.

    Today I made the Leap.

In the mail right now is my Earth Worth 600w ballast, light, cords and wing reflector (I will get a cooltube/aircooled reflector when/if needed) ($155 shipped!)
I picked up my hydro gear to get started:

    2 air pumps (8 LPM) $14.95 ea
    2 5 gallon buckets $4.95 ea
    2 6" net pot lids $2.95 ea
    1 12Q tub $2.95
    10 2" net pots $1.50 total
    10 2" inserts $6.50 total
    10q hydroton $9.99
    2 12" airstones $2.95 ea
    2 6" airstones $1.95 ea
FF Suite of nutes including GB Hydro $60
    Clonex Solution $30?

Total including the light was $335 (shipping included)

I've got everything cut and sealed, its currently drying.

I MAY have to get a larger air pump for the 5g buckets, I'll see after everything is hooked up.

I'm currently rocking and ready to go for 10 clones and to flower out 2, I'm going to be setup in the next few weeks to veg 10.

I'm wondering if I should take some of the plants I have vegging in soil and put them in the hydroton and flower under the HPS. I'm going to put my current flowering cycle under the HPS as well when it arrives and use my current flowerbox for my moms (swapping out some lights and reducing overall wattage)

Any suggetions on that last line?

I'll post pics after I get it setup right and temps under control.
Also, I'm asking advice here, but I know I would say yes (so I'll go with that) but the floor I'm putting these hydro buckets on is very cool, should I raise the buckets up on milkcrates? (I would reply yes, so thats what I'm going to do) Or should I use a heater? I'm just doing a DWC setup right now, I am thinking about getting a pump and setting up halos for both buckets - Soon to be 6

    Thoughts?

    No use milk crates.
    5 g. of water weighs 40 pounds
Scrap 2X4s will do jus' fine.
No gotta worry 'bout crates dat go crunch in the night. (Don't ask.)

New room is almost setup. Still waiting on the light. Made a few changes:

Instead of starting with DWC, I decided to go with an RDWC with a 34 gallon res and 4x5 gallon 10" netpots. Using a 40 LPM airpump to power it and a 250GPH water pump.
I created my 10 pod DWC Cloner
    Created a 6 pod 1.5 gallon vegger
    Created a 8 pod 10 gallon vegger

Finished setting up all the RDWC stuff today, took about 6 hour total to setup 4 bucket and the res (system can EASILY be expanded to more buckets HOWEVER instead of expanding to MORE buckets, when I have the space I'll actually be upgrading to larger containers *30 gallon*)

I also finished the side lighting for the new setup today, now all I have to do is hang the mylar sheeting and setup ventillation, then when the light comes in I'll post pics before and after I get the girls in
