how to install grow lights?
2 choices i can think of......hollow wall anchors(molly bolts) or find the studs the drywall is screwed into(has to be some or it would sag/buckle in the middle or seams). stud finder or magnet will work. magnet has to be a good one not like a fridge magnet. drywall is heavy it has to have something underneath to hold it up. depending on the age of your home and building codes the studs should be every 16" on center. if its older try 18" if its an attic space the joists will be between 18 -24" on center depending on trashed the framing crew was...not kiddin im a contractor and see it everyday. id need more info if that doesnt work.

May have to break out your keyhole saw and cut you some small ''inspection windows" for locating your studs if the stud fider or the magnet trick proves to be unhelpful.

at 5 foot there has to be seam in there either vertically or horizontally wait we are talking about a ceiling right? or were you wanting to hang it off the upper part of the wall? either way there has to be a seam that means its attached to something. im with burnt toast get your saw out.

use butterfly wall fixings, single m4 fitting will hold up to 35kg and what bigger fixing you use that stronger they are.
Butterflys are de strongest drywall fixings available far as i know.??It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.?

Cut 2 inspection holes stuck a camera in there its the kind you stick in pipes and there is nothing there but the two boards at each end.its in the attic so the ceiling is slanted but there are only the 2 studs at each end

Go in the attic and install a 2x4 or larger board from joist to joist and hang your lights from the board. Drywall is not meant to hold more than a few lbs of weight, and I can tell you from experience that when your lights and ceiling fall on your plants, your not going to be happy! My advice is to make it bullet proof...if I can't hang from it, neither will anything else!
