From what I have been reading it seems like FMullegun, knows his shit. A lot of people seemed confused here with their information. Saying Bushmaster makes shitty firearms is ridiculous. They make great quality AR rifles! You cannot buy an M4 on the civilian market, unless you do the class 3 FFL paperwork and I'm still not sure that there are many actual M4s on the class3 market. You can buy a M4 style AR-15 though. The AR weapons system is the most practical and tactically modifiable weapons system on the market today. There are so many different names, styles, and variants, but they are all built around the exact same upper and lower receivers. If you own a actual M4 then it is select-fire and capable of fully automatic fire. If it's semi-auto only, then it's just an AR-15. If it fires .223, then it will fire 5.56 with no problems at all. There is almost no difference in the two rounds and their trajectory. Adding different length barrels and stocks does not make it a different firearm. There seems to be a lot of confusion about this. I can throw a body kit on my car and make it look like another vehicle, but it is still the same basic car. It's the same here. I built my M4 style AR up from Colt, Bushmaster, and Olympic Arms parts. The only difference from the military M4 is the select-fire capability and from the M-16A2 and A3 is the barrel length, stock size, and select-fire.

I'm curious,have ya ever checked out any Stoner rifle's ? They make one in the .308 caliber class..that I'd sure like to have..phooey on that lightweight .223 and 5.56...lol. If I ever win the lottery,I plan on gittin a FFL 3,and go shoppin !

Yeah I can definately see where you're coming from. There are a lot of gun owners and firearms available to citizens here, but it's not the type of firearm that is dangerous at all, it's the user. Most gun owners do not fit the general stereotype people attach to them, just as most cannabis users are not the stereotypical dreadlocked hippies or losers in society that the government and a lot of people would like to think we are. I do think that a lot of laws here in the US are very fucked up. I find it ridiculous that we have so much freedom to arm ourselves with whatever we choose, yet we don't have the freedom to use a plant that has proven medical and theraputic uses and causes no problems at all. I view the issue of firearms and cannabis at almost an even level. I am not a criminal because I choose to arm myself and enjoy shooting, nor am I a criminal for enjoying cannabis. Why put restrictions on honest, tax paying, law abiding citizens? I am not worried at all about people carrying guns in the US, I'm worried about our fucked up, hypocritical government, and the blind, hatefilled views of the right and the left.

Yeah Torog, I've checked out the .308 versions, but I am a solid fan of the NATO 5.56. Cheaper, lighter, less recoil, and a much better CQB round. Not even close to the stopping power of the .308, but it's definately nothing to laugh at. It gets the job done. That's why most SWAT teams have gone from the MP5 and the 9mm round to .223 short-barreled entry firearms. I'd hate to compare ammo prices if you are going to go out and burn through 500-1000 rounds.

NB: This site is about Cannabis. I highly doubt that any law-enforcement agencies from any country are monitoring this site. The best way to get this site noticed by the cops, feds, whatever, is to talk about which illegal guns you possess which you bought from an Israeli arms dealer. Also talking about how you're building a tank in your back garden so that you can go on a killing spree and assissinate the government is going to get us noticed more then some kids talking about how to make a bong, or some stoner asking what your favourite munchies are.

I like it alot its pretty accurate. But like you I also prefer 5.56. Try going to bass pro shops they have the Hunting sale once a year and Q3131A is on sale for 2.88 per box. I also scored some 9mm for the same price.
