Tap - Distilled - Deionized - RO . . . . . . ???????????????
[align=left]Hhhhmmmmph you see my problem . . . .
I'm not prepared to waste the water with an RO system and distilled water seems to be non existent in the UK and has been replaced by deionized water . . . . . :wtf:
So here's what I'm guessing :stoned:
.... "My younguns ideally need watering/feeding at somewhere around the .18ec to .22ec. My tap water is already .165ec. I mix 50 - 50 deionized water with tap water and I get around about .08ec. I am, therefore, safe to add quality nutrients and magic (calmag n Liquid Oxygen included) to bring the ec back up to the desired level and feed/water my youngsters with this mix???" ....
Who can agree or disagree with good back up please, or has a more productive approach??? :thumbsup:
All views and criticisms greatly accepted

[align=left]Hey there GH420 . . . . . Cheers for the response
Yes indeed, my fresh water from the tap smells like a swimming pool's pre soak foot bath . . . .. . . I have two 30 litre buckets, one with a heater, water pump and air pump n air stones ready for nutrient mixing and a second bucket with just air pump and airstones and a water pump for declorination. As the warmer (already declorinatinated) water (22c) gets used up I top it up with the cooler bubbled water from the second bucket. As the second bucket depletes, it's topped up with fresh tap water.
ha ha when it comes to PH and EC I'm pretty spoddy . . . I use three different testers . . .the good old EC/PPM Wand, a HM EC Meter and an Essentials EC meter. I'm hoping for a three in one blue tab system after this little grow finishes but at £180 I better not smoke so much of it . . . lmao :stoned:
I have heard that a great deal of oxygen is removed from normal water if it's mixed with deionized water, Hydrogen Peroxide seems to be doing the trick AND "watering" down my tap water with Deionized water pretty much kills all the Calcium in it too so SensiCal Mg Grow n Bloom additives are a must by the looks of things . . . . . just managed to kick out some rusting spots . . . just in time . . . . . as a true calcium deficiency can not be put right
So cool cool, I'm happier with my technique, at least there aint a whole bunch of you's saying noooooo way man . . . . .bad idea . . . . . . .
Peace out, love n big big bud

Catch rain from roof in horse tank, raise gold fish for bug and algae control water, water plants from bottom of tank.
Distilled for clones.

Also have a couple pieces of limestone in tank just in case. Told one of my hillbilly buds, I wanted to barter for some eating sized crawdads. See if I can grow them. It's all a system!
