My Random Life
First-time poster. In October 2011 I had my first (at this job) random test. I failed that test. They put me through psychological testing to see if I was a nut-job. I had to meet with the doc 3 times and 'play the game' how this was only because my cat died, but as a youth I did smoke and it was one of those things. They stuck me in a class that turned out to be for drunk drivers, and I was then put on follow-up testing for a year. That period of time was from Dec to Dec of 2012. So, I expected 6 at least. In the end it was 4. First out of fear, I stopped smoking. Eventually, I went to Friday night only and that is where it has stayed unless I have a 4-day weekend or vacation. I take Detoxify Constant cleanse, and drink a ton of water esp on Monday, Tuesday...by Wed I can taper off some but keep it up. I test myself. I never go to work unprepared to pass. What a pain, but those Friday nights are the best day of the week.
So yes, I passed all 4 times and have now been released back to random. Yeah, whatever. My question to all of you is this: I've just heard of Instant Clean Add-it-ive and it sounds like a good or better alternative IF I could get feedback. Thinking of testing it at home but that could get expensive. I don't need to hear to quit, blaaaa, just looking for others who have to play the game and how you pass. In the meantime, I do hold a prescription, but not sure if that will save me should I fail in the future as I've not read anything to support that it would work with an employer since they can care a less....

Forget the additives.
Drop-in additives will not work if its an instant-type test because it takes up to 90 min to fully destroy the drug metabolites in the urine sample.
Also, the labs are detecting additives on a more frequent basis than before. They are detected when the urine sample gets flagged for excessive nitrites, high chromates, and/or an abnormal pH.
Since youre entertaining the thought of sneaking something into the test facility, you might as well sneak something in thats going to work - a clean persons sample or synthetic to use as a substitute.
Its much more easier to pour a sub sample into the cup, rather than holding the cup in one hand and fumbling around with additive vials in the other.

shitty situation bro. Luckily the job i work at just tested once before i started to work and never again, so i haven't had to worry about all the things you are worried about.
It seems like your current process is working, so why fix something that is broken?
now that you are back to random testing, dont that mean you can take less precautions?
what does random testing mean at your job? once they tell you that you are being randomly tested, does that mean you have to do it on the spot, or do they make an appointment at some place the same/next day?
