for anyone who doesnt understand vaporizers

if you arent sure and are thinking about one you should take a couple things in to consideration.
they work by heating the air you draw in hot enough to vaporize the oil so you can pull into your lungs.
too cool and you only get water. too hot you may as well just smoke it. i think the temp is around 250(where i set mine for bud) to 340 depending if its plant material or straight oil etc.
the vaporizer should be adjustable or have the temp set right and not vary.
it should have a long hose, more the a couple feet so it can cool enough or a bag. or hooking it up to a bong, i liked that idea have to try it first i guess. condensation could be an issue.
you want to make sure it doesnt have any of the heating element or parts that hold it together arent glued or made out of plastics/resins. high heat will make them out-gas their solvents.
the main thing to understand is that vaporized oil is still an oil. it coats the brachioles in your lungs to the point of saturation ie. clogs. healthy lungs will clear it out.. well easier than smoke anyway. if you have respiratory issues you really need to think about that. i have heard in some cases of asthma that it helps but im not sure if that means vaping or eating etc. as there is very limited info available that i can find.

Mal thank you for info. I'm waiting for my first vape to arrive. (soon I hope new meds drying now). Have vaped a few times and had a blast. It will be handy as I can't always medicate if the wee ones are up or we have people over. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning.

hey thanks for giving more insight into how vaporizers work. I know recently that I have used the temp. setting at 350 and it works fine for me.
