    Miracle gro potting soil question

I'm using the same stuff along with some Miracle Grow soil expander, vermiculite or whatever. It seems Miracle Grow makes all kinds of stuff. Regardless, I'm not using any extra nutrients because I believe you can overdose your plants,(too much of a good thing), and I'm seeing some nice results. I'm also growing in an outdoor, enclosed area with a space heater and a 90 watt Big Buddah 2nd gen LED. Temps can still get pretty low 45-50 and pretty warm 70's-80's on days when external temps are in the 40's or more. This is my first grow, Betty Boo, Lowryder#2 and OG Skunk. My first harvested plant went past 70 days and the Trich's never went amber at all, but did go from clear to cloudy so all was good. Just think of the Miracle grow as a product that will do what it says. You will get better production without any extra nutes or effort, and I always try not to over think this. After all, it is a weed. I even tried to kill a couple of plants accidentally but...like a weed, the dam things came back with a vegeance.

    Miracle gro potting soil question

My original grow started off using MG with time release nutes - Started off well, then when they were vegging I actually added some straight N (22.0.0) and ended up frying them. I can testify that I've grown cannabis in MG before, but never added anything until flowering, at which point I used MG bloom booster -

So unless your about 4-5 weeks into flowering, don't add any more nutes (from my experience)

Yes...I'm just using water in the MG soil mixture and they seem to be doing fine. I do notice some (very little) tip burn but not enough to worry about. I do have an OG Skunk growing for 60-70 days now and just realized it needs a photo period but it's in the same bucket with 2 auto flower Lowryder's and light is 24/7 AND I just took 2 cuttings from the OG in hopes they will root for cloning. All is in the same bucket. I'm waiting for the roots on the cuttings before I change lighting schedule.

    Miracle gro potting soil question

I have noticed a little bit of tip burn but really not enough to even worry about. It's my 1st grow started at the end of Oct 2012 and now into the dead of winter with nothing more than a 10 gal round lawn cart on wheels resembling a bucket, Miracle Grow and a fairly cheap LED and space heater. I got about a nickle+ from one Betty Boo. Not by weight but just by eyeing it up. That's all bud, no sugar leaf. I can't complain since this was never really thought through and the seeds were started in my AeroGarden. Once it became obvious I had to transplant or be caught by my wife and kids, MG in a bucket sounded pretty good.

Maybe the next time I'll do it under better conditions with the right soil, pH, lighting, temps, nutes, etc. For the grower in a pinch...Miracle Grow will git r done!
